An excellent frontend for open source programs to create DVD slideshows.
DVD Slideshow GUI allows you to create fun and simple animated presentations using a list of free and open-source tools. Essentially this program is the user interface to all of these useful applications. The main goal, obviously, is to create slideshows which may be burned to a DVD.
The interface here is nice. You may use it to create neat little animations between slides. Just configuring which images you would like to include and use DVD Slideshow GUI to add transitions such as panning, zooming and rotating images. Once you've got the hang of it, you'll be creating nice transitions in no time.
Also included with this project is the ability to add videos and an audio soundtrack to your slideshow; You can do it with most video file formats and virtually all audio formats, namely MP3 or WMA.
Once you're done creating your project and your slideshow is ready to be viewed by others, you can use DVD Slideshow GUI to burn it to a blank DVD disc. It does this with a third-party program called ImgBurn which is included in the setup package.
In the end, this application provides an excellent opportunity to create lovely DVD slideshows.
